Alex H

Alex is a graduate of UW Stevens Point with a background in natural resources. He spent time as a water resource technician, working in city government in the land use planning field, and then joined Schmalz in 2018. Alex has enjoyed participating in the development of many of Schmalz’s commercial projects over the last few years. Now with a focus on residential design, Alex takes pride in each family’s landscape project, from the initial meeting to final install. He looks for opportunities to incorporate Wisconsin plant species to play a functional role in the overall design. Outside of Schmalz, Alex enjoys his time with his wife as new parents, traveling around the state, and spending time outdoors hunting & fishing.
